Most cleaning companies say green and stop there. These are the three products that do most of the work, and what each one is for.
Mrs. Meyer's All Purpose Cleaner
General household cleaning across a range of surfaces. This is the one that does most of the everyday work, from counters to sinks.
Bona All-Purpose Floor Cleaner
Hard surface floors. It lifts dirt without leaving the film that makes a floor look clean wet and dull once it dries.
Bon Ami Scouring Powder
The tougher jobs, where a surface needs scrubbing rather than wiping. Used where the surface can take it.

What that actually changes
No chemical smell
A home can be clean without smelling like it was just cleaned. Nothing we use leaves that behind, which is the thing clients mention first.
It matters most at floor level
The people closest to a freshly cleaned floor are the smallest ones in the house, and the ones on four legs. That is the whole argument, and it is why clients raise it.
We bring our own equipment
We supply our own vacuums, with HEPA filtration that traps allergens rather than pushing them back into the room, and reusable microfiber cloths instead of disposable wipes. If you would rather we used your vacuum, we will, but we cannot take responsibility for the machine.
Non-toxic products have limits, and we would rather say so. We clean the pink and orange mildew that is normal in most Portland homes, but we cannot work in rooms heavily affected by mold, and we will point you to a remediation company instead. Some dust goes airborne while we dust and settles after we leave, which is most noticeable on a first clean and eases over several. We do not shampoo carpets.

Do you use bleach or ammonia?
No. We never use bleach or ammonia on any visit. Both are harsh on lungs, skin, and paws, and neither is necessary to get a home genuinely clean. Our teams work exclusively with plant-based, non-toxic formulas instead, so every room is safe to walk into, and breathe in, right after we leave.
What cleaning products do you actually use?
Three products do most of the work: Mrs. Meyer's All Purpose Cleaner for everyday surfaces, Bona All-Purpose Floor Cleaner for hard floors, and Bon Ami Scouring Powder where a surface needs scrubbing. They are used on every visit, on every service, at no extra charge.
Is eco-friendly cleaning as effective as bleach?
For everyday cleaning, yes. Lifting dirt, grease and soap scum is mechanical work, and plant-based products do it. Bleach is a disinfectant, which is a different job, and we do not use it on any visit. If your situation calls for disinfection after illness, we are not the right service for that part.
Can you clean for allergies or chemical sensitivity?
This is the most common reason people call us. No synthetic fragrance, no bleach or ammonia, and HEPA-filtration vacuums that trap allergens rather than pushing them back into the air. Tell us about specific sensitivities when you book and we will note them against your home.

The same plant-based products go into every home, whether the biggest test is a toddler on the rug or a dog that eats everything. A curious nose can go straight over the floor we just mopped, and it doesn't matter.
